Do you have a big garage? [08 Aug 2005|01:23pm]

I'm looking for a large space to build and keep a set for weekend film-making in the fall and part of winter. I can not pay you, but you will get to spend time with lots of young, attractive actor-people. Also, you get to be part of show business.

everybody wants to be a part of show business.

if anyone thinks they'd be able to help, please contact me at melukar at gmail dot com.

i'm doing an improved mockumentary soon and am looking for volunteer actor-persons.

let me know if you're interested.

once upon a time, there was this person who offered me use of their digital camcorder. i wasn't ready for it then, but i am, now.

unfortunately, i have no clue who that person was.

if anyone wants to let me use their digital camcorder for a mockumentary, i would love it all to death. it's going to be an improv thing, and if you want to get in on the giggles, i'd be even more delighted.

***this***is the latest version of my script, leaving nowhere. if you could read it and give me a critique of it, i'd be highly appreciative.

what's everyone's opinions on voice-overs?

see, i'm working on a script where the main character doesn't speak, so a lot of her motivations are lost in translation, so to speak.

i'm afraid that if i do voice-overs, the artistic vision will be lost. it's a kind of cop-out to use them.

has anyone seen a movie (except adaptation) where voice-overs actually improved it?

being as how ariztid, sweetjessi, and i don't work on sundays, a get together is in order. i was thinking this sunday (5/29/04, the day before memorial day). i can have it at my place, or we can set it up for another location. i'm always partial to morningstar75, since it's just a nifty place.

so, input for times and locations would be lovely. i'm not picky. i was thinking around 7ish, but that's flexible.

anyone you would want to bring with you who would be interested in being in, or working on, a film would be great. anyone who just wants to look cool by proxy is fine, too.

1. i'd like to meet irl with ariztid and whomever wants to hook up. i want to start working on my short silent film and i want to get some input on getting together a developement package for my feature.

2. i need actors. i need actors like what.

3. i've come to the realization i don't have it in me to act as a producer. i need someone who is good with money/patience/time who is either familiar or willing to learn enough about the law to let me squeak through financially without going to jail.

4. i wish someone else would post on here. i don't just want help. i want to help. i want to be part of someone else's project. there's a lot of stuff i still need to learn and the best way of doing that is by apprenticing.

5. have a nice day!

i'd like to start working on my silent short-short. i am fairly new to the area and know absolutely no actors. hell, i don't really know anyone besides my boyfriend and best friend. that's it.

who wants to help me? i've got someone willing to loan me the camera. i'd like to do the work inside, and i'm considering asking justin if i can borrow his theater and create some backgrounds or something. i don't know. i'll see about that.

anyway. the spirit of the community. stuff.

tell me what you're up to. tell me how i can help.

anyone want to have a real life meet-up?

i'd suggest morningstar 70-something. also, i get out of work 10:30ish, but have thursdays and sundays off for a while. my shifts will switch in a couple of weeks, but that's what it is, as of now.

i would like to thank you for joining.

i have several scripts i've been waiting to make into film until i could get my hands on a camera. i've been trying to buy one, but life keeps stealing all of the money from my camera fund.

the first one that i want to get taken care of (it deserves to be first since it's been on simmer the longest) is a short, silent film about women. technically, i'm not even sure i remember the storyline, since i wrote it so long ago, but i've been watching silent film again lately and have become reinspired.

the script (i think) is here.
